Maximum Motorsport is proud to announce a late signing for the Volkwagen Racing Cup in form of multiple race winner Jack Walker-Tully. The 24 year old from Nottinghamshire is no stranger to the championship having competed in the previous 4 seasons finishing an impressive 4th overall back in 2015.
Nephew of truck racing champion Richard Walker and cousin of 2012 Racing Cup Champion James Walker, Jack made his racing debut in the Volkswagen Racing Cup in 2012 at Silverstone behind the wheel of a Golf GTI before switching to James’ championship winning Scirocco for 2014.
“It all came together quite last minute, Stewart got in contact with myself and we signed the deal up on Tuesday. I watched all the action from Oulton Park and missed being out there so we made it happen to get out for Rockingham… A podium would be a dream return but I would be happy with a top 5 finish”
“I haven’t driven the car in almost a year, my last outing being at Spa last season. But we’ve had a good test day back in the car today so I’m confident for my return, just hoping for a bit of rain.” commented Jack.
Jack will be run for the first time under the Maximum Motorsport awning for this weekends action at Rockingham Motor Speedway, his last outing at the circuit saw Jack snatch the all time lap record as well as a duo of podium finishes.
“I’m delighted to have a very capable driver in Jack signed to Maximum, he has an impressive proven track record in the championship and I’m certain he’ll be up the front with Tom fighting at the sharp end. “ commented team owner Stewart Lines.
All the action at Rockingham kicks off on Sunday the 30th of April at 09:00AM qualifying before the first race at midday.
